Confidence Intervals for Images

 

As part of Dartmouth's newly funded "Alternative Breast Cancer Imaging Modalities" Program Project (Keith Paulsen PI), we are developing new methods for the analysis of imaging data. Our efforts to date have resulted in a paper on how to use data from near-infrared spectrosopic tomography to provide an innovative "confidence interval" for an entire image. The methods used are described in the manuscript "Confidence Maps and Confidence Intervals for Near Infrared Images in Breast Cancer" by Tor D. Tosteson, Brian W. Pogue, Eugene Demidenko,Troy O. McBride , Keith D. Paulsen
